AI/ML Engineer — Computer Vision, Health Tech | Austin, TX (On-site)

Client is a 6-person health tech startup building the first wearable for your toilet — tracking gut health and hydration with every flush.

Think WHOOP for your poop today, smoke detector for colon cancer tomorrow. $14M funded, backed by Lance Armstrong and top-tier VCs including Accomplice and Moxxie Ventures. 

You'll own the ML pipeline end-to-end across 15+ production computer vision models.

What you'll do

• Train, deploy, and debug computer vision models across the full ML pipeline
• Improve performance on existing models and build new ones for upcoming features
• Own the entire data lifecycle — cleaning, data flywheel, evaluation infrastructure
• Optimize for latency, memory, and cost/performance tradeoffs
• Translate cutting-edge CV research into measurable product improvements

Stack: Python, PyTorch, SQL

Strong fit if you have:

• 2+ years AI/ML engineering with end-to-end CV model ownership
• Background in wearables (Oura, smartwatch teams, Whoop) or AV/drones (Waymo, Cruise, BRINC)
• Deep PyTorch expertise
• Early-stage startup experience; comfortable with high ownership and fast iteration

Details:

• Full-time, 5 days on-site in South Congress, Austin TX
• $150K–$250K base depends on experience + Competitive equity
• H1B transfers welcome; no new H1B sponsorship
