Member of Technical Staff, Product Engineering, Biomedical | South SF (On-site)

Client is a 10-person applied research lab building agentic AI for biomedical scientists. $10M+ seed backed by a16z, Menlo Ventures, and Anthropic. Strong organic growth, significant enterprise inbound — and the category is still wide open.

You'll own product features end-to-end on an agent platform processing terabytes of data across complex biological domains. Rare environment where the intelligence bar is set by the demands of science itself.

What you'll do

• Build and own full-stack product features from user-facing UI to backend services
• Design frontend-heavy experiences for interacting with AI agents, workflows, and scientific tools
• Own critical surfaces — billing, usage tracking, authentication, permissions, account management
• Translate between scientists, AI researchers, and engineers to ship production-ready features fast

Stack: TypeScript, Python

Strong fit if you have:

• 3–7 years as a product, full-stack, or frontend-leaning engineer at a high-pedigree AI startup
• End-to-end ownership of product features; founding engineer background a strong plus
• Strong product and design instincts — you have opinions on UX and polish
• Avid AI user — you direct agents, delegate tasks, and build AI workflows as part of how you work
• Interest in the intersection of AI and life sciences

Details:

• Full-time, on-site in South SF
• $200K–$300K depending on experience + competitive equity
• Open to most visa types; no net-new H1B
